Important Guidelines to Read Before Submitting a Request for Assistance
We are honored to serve families in need during the holiday season. To ensure we can assist as many families as possible in a fair and organized manner, please carefully review the following guidelines BEFORE submitting your Request For Assistance:
Eligibility

One Request Per Household
Please submit only one request per household. Duplicate submissions may delay or disqualify your request.
Application Process
Email after submission: After submitting your application, you will receive an email ONLY IF the admin has questions about your application. You will not have any contact information on your sponsor and all communication will be through the TCP administrator and coordinators.
Approval Notification: You will be contacted no later than November 7th informing you if your request has been approved or denied. If approved, this email will give you the date and time that your gifts must be picked up at the Amvets.
⚠️ Do not assume your application is approved until you receive an official notification from The Christmas Projects administrator.
Submission Deadline
All requests must be submitted by November 7, 2026.
⛔ Late submissions WILL NOT be accepted due to limited resources and planning time.
Accuracy Is Important
Please make sure all information is accurate and complete, including:
Correct contact information - name/address/email address/phone numbers
Full names and ages plus DOB of children
School District where you reside
IMPORTANT CHANGE - Starting this year and moving forward, we will be using the " FOUR GIFT RULE "....Something You Want - Something You Need - Something To Wear - Something To Read. You will need to specify one gift for each of those categories ; your sponsor will be given that list and will purchases the gifts in each categories. Please note that we DO NOT purchase high cost gifts such as gaming systems, bicycles, computers, name brand clothing items etc.
Honesty & Integrity
We depend on the honesty of applicants to serve families who truly need help.
Please only request assistance if you are not receiving Christmas help from other organizations (such as Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, church programs etc.)
📌 If your family is receiving help elsewhere, your application will not be approved . If your application was denied in the past because you were requesting help from other organization(s) you will be disqualified from our program.
We trust that all information submitted is truthful.
Staying Informed
Follow Up: Once your gifts are purchased, you will be notified of the date and time that you will need to pick them up at the Amvets 750 5th Street , Chambersburg, PA, United States, 17201
Update Contact Info: If your address, phone number, or email changes at any point, please notify TCP immediately so we can stay in touch.
